The GlenDronach 21-Year-Old 1993 Single Cask #494 is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on February 19, 1993, and bottled in June 2014 as part of the distillery's Batch 10 single cask releases. This expression was matured exclusively in an Oloroso sherry butt, yielding 635 bottles at a cask strength of 55.8% ABV.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
A classic profile featuring fig bread, walnuts, chocolate, juicy raisins, and a subtle floral/waxy character. Additional notes of leather, vanilla, heather honey, and peppercorns contribute to its complexity.

TASTE:
Sweet and sour flavors of burnt sugar, pepper, and all-spice, complemented by dry leather, chocolate evolving towards roasted coffee beans, licorice, and herbs. A subtle salty edge enhances the depth.

FINISH:
Long and satisfying, with lingering dry and herbal notes.
