Bladnoch 11 Year Old is a refined single malt Scotch whisky from the historic Bladnoch Distillery, located in the Lowlands of Scotland. This expression is aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for 11 years, allowing the whisky to develop a rich and complex character while retaining the distillery’s signature light and floral style. Bottled at 46.7% ABV and non-chill filtered, the Bladnoch 11 Year Old is a pure, natural expression of Lowland whisky craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Light golden with a subtle amber glow.

NOSE:
The aroma is fresh and inviting, with notes of honey, vanilla, and green apples. There are also delicate floral hints, complemented by a light citrus zest and a touch of malt.

TASTE:
On the palate, it is vibrant and well-balanced. Flavors of sweet vanilla and caramel are balanced by green fruits like apples and pears, alongside a hint of lemon and orange zest. The ex-bourbon cask influence brings a creamy texture, with subtle oak spice and a touch of coconut emerging as the whisky opens up.

FINISH:
The finish is medium in length, with lingering notes of citrus, soft oak, and a light sweetness. There’s a gentle warmth, leaving a clean and refreshing aftertaste with hints of vanilla and spice.
