| TASTING NOTES | COLOR: Lovely dark mahogany, bright, clear and transparent. NOSE: Very pleasant intense brandy. Its attack is spicy (cinnamon and nutmeg) against a background of roasted notes and macerated fruit. TASTE: Full-bodied and delicious with spices, gentle roasted notes (mocha and coffee) and macerated fruit. A few woody notes running through it express the delicate refinement of this rum. FINISH: Dry woody tannins and spice with pleasing underlying cider apple fruit and grassiness. OVERALL: This agricole rum’s long maturation has muted some of its fresh cane juice notes with elegant dry woody tannins and dried fruit dominating. Consequently it may appeal more to armagnac drinkers than those seeking a delicately sweet aged rum. |
