Matured for 25 years in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, this whisky showcases the deep, rich, and complex flavors that define GlenDronach’s signature sherried style. Bottled at 48.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, and naturally colored, this rare release is a tribute to the distillery’s commitment to traditional whisky-making.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
Elegant and deeply aromatic, offering layers of dark cherries, ripe plums, and blackberries, interwoven with rich dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and polished oak. Hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, and honeycomb add warmth and complexity.
TASTE:
A velvety, full-bodied texture with intense flavors of dried figs, dates, and raisins, complemented by treacle, dark toffee, and spiced orange peel. Waves of espresso, hazelnuts, and black pepper balance the sweetness, while the sherry influence provides depth with its bold red fruit and oak spice notes.
FINISH:
Exceptionally long and warming, with lingering notes of dark chocolate, antique oak, and caramelized nuts, evolving into a final whisper of dried fruits and rich spices.
