Description

Zárate Albariño is a white wine produced by the Zárate winery in the Rías Baixas.

The Zárate winery is a historic winery in the Rias Baixas, producing Albariños since the early eighteenth century. It is a single variety of Albariño, from 35 year-old vines planted in granite soils.

Bodega Zárate practices farming friendly techniques without using any herbicides. Harvesting is done manually and grape selection is performed on the plot itself. The grapes are destemmed and a light pressing of the must is undergone. After a gentle racking, the grapes are fermented spontaneously in a steel tank where it remains with its residue for 3 months.

Tasting Notes

Straw yellow with green highlights. Brilliantly clean, stony tropical pineapple presents clearly on the nose and palate. Yellow citrus flavors are like a simple, well-constructed melody, balanced and constrained.
