Description
In 2016, West Cork Distillers produced a trio of 12 year old Irish whiskeys initially matured in bourbon casks before being finished in a selection of casks. This expression was allowed a finishing period in Port casks, resulting in juicy fruit notes all the way through.

Masters tasting notes are true to formLove this whiskey. Just gets better with age. Blueberries on the nose. A great sipper then a longer finish then most other West Cork malts.

Pleasant surprise!From an avid bourbon and Tennessee whiskey drinker, who enjoys a single malt from time to time, I love this whiskey. I grabbed one, along with a bottle of Sherry Cask Finish, while passing through Dublin. I had no idea what I was getting into. Neat with a friend, it went way too fast. Prost!
