Trossos del Priorat - Llum d'Alba | Spanish White Wine

Llum d’Alba is a white wine produced by the winery Trossos del Priorat in Gratallops, D.O.Q. Priorat. Trossos del Priorat is a young winery, founded in 2004, when the Vives family bought 22 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards that are registered in the CCPAE (Catalan Council of Organic Production). This is when they build their own winery in Gratallops.

Trossos del Priorat intends to make wines with terroir, wines that reflect the area's own personality. To achieve this, they work in conjunction with Toni Coca, the technical manager, who leads the production process in the winery and in the vineyard itself, with oenologist Eva Escudé.
The vineyard is situated on costers (sloping terrain), on licorella (slate) soils at more than 300 metres above sea level. Climate is warm and mild, with an annual average temperature of 14.9ºC and an average rainfall of 542 mm.

Llum d’Alba is a wine produced with White Grenache, Viognier and Viura, which come from small vineyard areas located in the municipality of Gratallops.
Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard and in the winery. It ferments in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature. Then it is aged for 4 months with its fine lees.

Llum d’Alba is a mature, fresh wine with character. Ageing on lees gives this wine a very elegant unctuosity, and at the same time, it boosts its aromas of ripe white fruits.
