The Macallan - 21 Year Old – Sherry Seasoned Oak Cask - The Colour Collection | Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Macallan has officially introduced The Macallan Colour Collection, a new range of five age statement single match Scotch whiskies. The launch celebrates The Macallan’s commitment to natural colour, with each product showcasing the exquisite and vibrant tones that derive from maturation in the brand’s sherry seasoned oak casks.

The Macallan Colour Collection is a collaboration with visionary US graphic designer David Carson, who created a unique set of designs to feature on each whisky’s packaging. Taking inspiration from Jerez, a singular land of historic vineyards and fine wines where its sherry seasoned oak casks are crafted, Carson worked tirelessly in his studio to showcase his signature collage style.

For The Macallan Colour Collection, the single malts spent most of their time in sherry American oak casks, and a short period in European oak. They give the 12 Year Old a gold burnish, which darkens into chestnut after 30 years. Deepening in colour with age, each expression tells its own story and is a prism through which consumers can explore the unique characteristics which underpin the exceptional craftsmanship, renowned quality, and rich character of our single malt whisky.
