Description

It's a 12 year old limited edition expression of Douglas Laing's Scallywag blended malt, marrying Speyside single malts which have been matured exclusively in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
A good hit of sherry, with dark cherry jam, dark berries and treacle, with a hefty sprinkling of baking spices.

TASTE:
Sweet and rich, more rich treacle, sweet, almost honeyed vanilla cream, barley sugar and toasted oak among lots of jammy blackberries.

FINISH:
The fruity, sweet palate continues onto the finish, with even more spicy notes building, lots of cinnamon and allspice remaining.
