Description

VINEYARDS: Chianti DOCG grapes are sourced from vineyards in the best-known winegrowing areas of the Chianti appellation.

WINEMAKING: Grapes from the best-known regions of Chianti are used to make our Chianti DOCG. Fermentation is aided by racking and punch-downs in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats. Our Chianti DOCG is then aged for four months in stainless steel and concrete vats.

AGING: The alcoholic fermentation, aided by racking and punching down, continued for about two weeks at an average temperature of 79°F (26°C) in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats. The wine was then further aged for four months before bottling.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Ruby red.

NOSE:
Predominantly fruity and floral aromatics, with hints of spice and hazelnut.

TASTE:
On the palate, Chianti DOCG is soft with a medium body and nice balance, displaying pleasantly fruity characteristics.

Food Pairing

Pair this Chianti DOCG with a variety of traditional Italian dishes such as ravioli, margherita pizza, and beef carpaccio. It will be simply perfect. Its brightness and acidity also makes it a great companion for international favorites such as the classic hamburger.
