Description

Pere Magloire is a Calvados house with a rich history. Established in 1821, by 1900 it was the number one selling Calvados brand in France. Owned by iconic champagne producer Veuve Clicquot from 1968 to 1998, it was then taken over by a family company from Normandy. Their VSOP is deliciously fruity and spends at least 4 years in oak casks.
V.S.O.P. is notable because it is made only from cider from apples harvested in the Pays d’Auge, an area covering barely 6% of Normandy. The character this soil gives the apples, combined with double distillation in copper stills, offers the V.S.O.P. richness and length.
V.S.O.P. is blended from Calvados Pays d'Auge which has been aged in oak barrels for at least four years.
