Description

This is the wine formerly known as La Petit Chapelle, now renamed La Maison Bleue by Jaboulet. The difference between Jaboulet’s two cuvées of Hermitage is in the plots used. Jaboulet own 50 acres of Hermitage spread out across the hill. La Maison Bleue tends to use more from the eastern part of Hermitage, including Rocoules. The accent is on finesse and relatively early drinking.

Tasting Notes

Jaboulet's Hermitage La Maison Bleue is flat-out sexy stuff, full-bodied, plush and generous without being overripe or unstructured. Licorice, cassis and Asian five-spice powder burst from the glass in a complex whirl of scents and flavors.
