Description

From the Burgundy wine region, Marchand-Tawse Chardonnay is a savoury, rich and nutty Old World Burgundian Chardonnay, full-bodied and vibrant with bright apple, fresh pear, warm white florals, lemon meringue pie and nutty flavours on the palate. Great acidity for food on this wine underpinned by fine minerality. This is a collaboration between French vigneron Pascal Marchand and the Niagara winery Tawse. Vineyards are located in the Côte de Beaune (75%) and from the hill side of Viré-Clessé (25%). Grapes were whole bunch pressed, lightly crushed with fermentation in barrels, "sur lies" without "batonnage" and aged in neutral oak barrels. Chill and enjoy with grilled lobster tails.
