Description

After Pampero’s founders began ageing their rum in oak casks in 1938, Especial became the first Venezuelan rum to be officially designated ‘aged’ (añejo).
Pampero Anejo Especial Rum is distilled from fermented molasses, aged in used white oak whisky and bourbon barrels and rums from 2 to 5 years old are blended to create its rich butter and toffee character.
Sip it straight, neat, on the rocks, or mix it with cola and lime wedges.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Aromas of vanilla, cooked banana and hints of caramel and butterscotch.
TASTE: Buttery with toffee brittle, peanut butter and spice.
FINISH: soft oak Finish is complimented with lingering spice.
