VINEYARD
Well established trellised vineyards planted on a northwest facing slope on well-drained decomposed granite soils. These vineyards have access to supplementary irrigation.
VINIFICATION
Fermentation initiated in stainless tanks and underwent a series of punch downs before completion of fermentation and malolactic fermentation in the barrel. This wine spent 18 months on 20% 1st fill and the balance was on 4th fill and older.

Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Deep crimson in colour.
NOSE:
This wine portrays a complex mix of fruit most notably red-fruits and although defiant of its youth also expresses spicy notes. Further interest beckons via notes of black tea and subtle oak.
TASTE:
The palate is bright and youthful with black cherry and engaging fruit-tart flavours. Fine grained tannins add to the serious structure.
