Melini - Neocampana Governo All'Uso - Chianti | Italian Red Wine

The Florentine noble family Melini first became involved in wine making in 1705 and have been making wine ever since. Amongst other feats, Melini led the way in quality by being one of the first winemakers in Tuscany to vinify their wines by vineyard, much like the French. Melini is widely recognised as a historic brand that helped establish Chianti as a premium wine region in the 18th and 19th century. Melini puts its signature to Chianti Governo all’Uso Toscano which sprung from the rediscovery of a fascinating traditional method based on slowly refermenting the wine when it has just been drawn off along with grapes raisined in the fruit shed. This practice, rich in history and territory, is interpreted by a winery for which innovation has been a pride and joy for over three hundred years.
