Maracatu Cachaça is hand crafted in small batches in a boutique distillery based on century old techniques in a copper pot still. The distillery is located in the Paraty region of Brazil which is known to produce the best cachaça in the world. Maracatu Cachaça – The true flavour of Brazilian Cachaça!
Maracatu is a folkloric music and dance from Brazil. Like the performance, Maracatu cachaça is all about energy, exuberance and the Brazilian way of life. The character is inspired by the opulent and colourful Maracatu Rural dancers, while the sprinkling of gold dust of confetti on the packaging gives the bottle a luxurious and celebratory feel.

Lots of tropical fruits and grass at the front. A strong welcome of grass, mangoes and mango peel. Which reveal hints of lychee, lemongrass, dried ginger and a floral pepperiness. Undertones of strawberries, melons and lanzones appear at the end.
TASTE:
Peppery, thin and short but it’s not surprising considering the ABV. Where did all that complex tropical fruit on the nose go? I get short bursts of floral pepperiness coated by a mixed mess of melons, apricot, strawberries, lychee and mangoes. Lemongrass, ginger and grassiness make a shorter appearance at the end.
