The Littlemill 1988, bottled under the Pearls of Scotland label, is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky from the Lowland region. Distilled in October 1988, this expression was matured for 25 to 27 years before being bottled in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Each release was limited to approximately 100 to 120 bottles, making it a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
A vibrant bouquet of grapefruit, peach, freshly squeezed oranges, and pickled lemon, complemented by hints of vanilla, cookie dough, nougat, wood shavings, and damp cardboard.
TASTE:
An oily, buttery mouthfeel with a quick hit of chili pepper and pickled ginger, followed by a burst of pink grapefruit. It mellows out with notes of banana and pineapple.
FINISH:
Long with a fruity sweetness.
