The Lindores Abbey "The Casks of Lindores" Sherry Butts is the third and final release in the distillery's limited edition series, showcasing their core cask maturation methods. This expression is crafted exclusively from Oloroso sherry butts sourced from the region around Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. Bottled at 49.4% ABV without chill filtration or added coloring, it exemplifies the rich and complex character imparted by sherry cask maturation.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Auburn hue.

NOSE:
Aromas of mellow prunes, dates, molasses, complemented by hints of vanilla and milk chocolate.

TASTE:
Flavors of dried fruits, molasses, and dark chocolate, layered with cinnamon and ginger spices, and a pleasant nuttiness reminiscent of walnuts and chestnuts. The texture is notably smooth.

FINISH:
Medium to long, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and sweetness.
