Description

The Le Mortelle farm was part of a larger complex, already identified on the maps by Leopold II in the mid-1800s. The farm is located in the heart of the lower Maremma, in the province of Grosseto, about 9 km from Castiglione della Pescaia. It covers 270 hectares of which 166 are planted with vines, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, as well as more recent plantings of white grape varieties such as Vermentino, Ansonica and Viognier.

Tasting Notes

On the nose it expresses an intense aroma of chocolate, mint, sweet spices and licorice, which give it great complexity. On the palate it is soft, broad and enveloping, rich and balanced. A savory wine, with personality and pleasant to drink.
