Bottled at a robust cask strength of 53.5% ABV, this expression is a vatting of two distinct cask types: ex-bourbon and a specially rejuvenated cask, resulting in a unique flavor profile.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Opens with earthy aromas reminiscent of damp soil and bonfire smoke, complemented by notes of ash, tobacco, and burnt oranges. As it breathes, sweeter nuances emerge, including crème caramel, lemon juice, and red grapes, with subtle hints of lavender and thyme in the background.

TASTE:
Medium-bodied with pronounced earthy tones, evoking the sensation of soot and soil. Flavors of streaky bacon cooked over a BBQ intertwine with a maple syrup sweetness. Additional layers reveal clove, aniseed, a touch of saltiness, and a hint of chocolate.

FINISH:
Lingering with a clean salty breeze, citrus zest, and slight astringency.
