Description

The Lagavulin 18 Year Old Feis Ile 2016 is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky released to commemorate both the annual Feis Ile festival and Lagavulin's 200th anniversary. Bottled at 49.5% ABV, this expression was matured in a combination of European oak ex-bodega sherry butts and refill American oak hogsheads, selected by Iain McArthur.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Smoked meats, berries, bonfire, vanilla, and ex-bourbon cask influences.

TASTE:
Salted caramel chocolate, honey, plum jam, oily texture, and a hint of salt. With water, additional orchard fruit notes emerge.

FINISH:
Lingering and slightly peaty with a subtle sweetness.
