Some years before his fortieth birthday, Roman Coppola––Francis and Eleanor's son––wanted to mark the occasion with the release of a new wine and, being a Syrah enthusiast, brought his ideas to Inglenook's winemaking team to develop what eventually became RC Reserve Syrah, the Estate's first Syrah.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Brilliant and violet-edged ruby red.
NOSE:
Fresh, vibrant aromas of plum, blueberry, tobacco and forest floor.
TASTE:
The wine is superbly valanced on the palate, with well-defined notes of fennel, cedar and allspice, which emerge gradually. The texture is velvety, supported by extremely well-integrated French oak, and the long, aromatic finish resolves perfectly.
