Description
The Hazelburn 2006 15-Year-Old Oloroso Cask is a distinguished single malt whisky produced at the renowned Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Distilled in December 2006, this expression was exclusively matured in Oloroso sherry casks for 15 years before being bottled in April 2022, with a limited release of 9,000 bottles.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
A clean sherry influence with hints of mint, leather, chocolate-covered raisins, damp earth, dried fruits, figs, blackberries, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
TASTE:
Somewhat dry yet viscous, featuring leather, tobacco, oak spice, mocha, chocolate, nutmeg, hessian, blackberries, and a tinge of smoke.
FINISH:
Medium-long and intense, with dominant tobacco notes, a resurgence of sultanas, and lingering wood notes.
