Distilled in 2006 and matured for 11 years, this whisky was drawn from Cask #117576, likely a first-fill bourbon or sherry cask, to highlight Glentauchers' signature soft, fruit-forward, and delicately spiced character. Bottled at natural cask strength, this expression offers a bold yet refined profile, making it a treat for both collectors and connoisseurs.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
Fresh and vibrant with aromas of green apples, pear drops, honey, and vanilla, followed by hints of toasted oak and a subtle floral note.
TASTE:
Smooth and well-balanced, featuring flavors of citrus zest, malted barley, caramel, and soft spices, with a creamy texture and a touch of almond nuttiness.
FINISH:
Medium to long, with lingering notes of sweet malt, gentle oak spice, and a hint of dried apricots, leaving a clean and refreshing aftertaste.
