The Glengoyne 10 Year Old (1980s Bottling) is a classic Highland single malt from one of Scotland’s most traditional and unpeated distilleries. Distilled in the 1970s and bottled in the 1980s, this release represents an earlier era of whisky-making, showcasing Glengoyne’s signature sherried sweetness, delicate fruitiness, and smooth texture. Aged for a full 10 years in oak casks, this vintage expression is bottled at 40% ABV, offering a refined and elegant drinking experience that remains highly collectible.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Soft and inviting, with notes of honey, fresh apples, malted barley, and delicate sherry influence. Hints of vanilla, almonds, and light oak spice develop, with a subtle floral undertone.

TASTE:
Smooth and well-balanced, delivering flavors of toffee, baked pears, and citrus zest. The sherry cask influence adds depth with touches of caramelized nuts, dried fruits, and gentle spice, complemented by a creamy malt backbone.

FINISH:
Medium-length, clean, and slightly dry, with lingering notes of oak, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon.
