Description

The third expression in Glenfiddich's Perpetual Collection. Originally released as a travel exclusive, in a style similar to Spanish sherry soleras, VAT 03 combines whisky matured in sherry and bourbon casks for 15 years, with half of its contents emptied and bottled before fresh spirit is added.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Plenty of sherry coming through, with dried vine fruits, soft brown sugar, and oaky vanilla.

TASTE:
Bourbon and sherry character mingle, with toasted nuts alongside oaky sweetness, and warm spices.

FINISH:
Sweet fruitcake lingers.
