Glen Scotia 16 Year Old Single Malt is an exceptional single malt scotch whisky, matured in finest mix of bourbon and oak American barrels before bottling. The signature nose has hints of vanilla oak, interwoven with the subtle notes of sea spray and spicy aromatic fruits.
Glen Scotia 16 Year Old sits in the middle of the range. It’s bourbon matured. The Aurora Borealis on the label tells you it’s part of the older expressions, and the green hue sets it apart from all others.
The 2013 relaunch and expansion of Campbeltown's Glen Scotia range saw the introduction of several longer-aged malts from the distillery, including this 16 year old which has been bottled at 46% in packaging depicting a Highland cow and the aurora borealis.

Tasting Notes
NOSE: Fresh sea spray and floral notes give way to softer caramel and vanilla.
TASTE: Rich sherry flavours, toffee, raisins and roasted hazelnut. Apricot and orange add more subtle fruit notes.
FINISH: Long dry Finish with touches of peat combining with nutty elements and coastal, salty notes.
OVERALL: This ia a very interesting whisky that demands all your attention and time. It's definitely not one for beginners or for casual drinking. But although very subtle, it rewards patience by ultimately being a very complex and delicious malt.
