Description

Barolo wines come from Nebbiolo grapes and are the dominant varietal of Piedmont, Italy. Nebbiolo means small fog since the area is characterized by a slight fog in the mornings.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
The Giacomo Conterno Barolo Monfortino Riserva 3 litre. At first, this wine has a faint nose, which over time develops into a compelling combination of floral and mineral aromas mixed with wet wood and dandelion stems.

COLOR:
Light ruby in color with orange on the rim.

TASTE:
In the mouth it is an unusual combination of power and grace. Brightly acidic with tangy raspberry, redcurrant, and sour cherry flavors, the wine also has a deep resonance and tannic structure that show like a body builders bulk under his clothes. On the finish the wine is airy, and so delicious.
