In the glass, the Cépage Syrah from Domaine Gayda shows a bright purple colour. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the Old World shows wonderfully expressive aromas of blueberry, blackberry, mulberry and blackcurrant, rounded off by vanilla, gingerbread spice and black tea, which are contributed by the aging in wooden barrels.

The Domaine Gayda Cépage Syrah presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Balanced and complex, this powerful red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acid, the Cépage Syrah flatters with a velvety mouthfeel, without missing out on juicy liveliness. In the finish, this youthful red from the Languedoc wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of blackberry and mulberry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by slate and limestone join in.

Food Pairing

This red wine from France should be best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is a perfect accompaniment to veal escalope with beans and tomatoes, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or osso buco.
