Ferngrove - Frankland River - Dragon Shiraz (Syrah) | Australian Red Wine

DESCRIPTION:
Frankland River is one of the coldest and the most isolated wine prodcing regions in Australia and as such, vintage takes place later than in other producing regions in Australia, with grapes harvested as late as May.
This full-bodied, mouthfilling Shiraz isn't as dense or rich as it could be, but is still a hedonistic wine that avoids going over the top. Subtle smoke, vanilla and spice notes mark the blueberry and blackberry fruit flavors, which linger elegantly on the finish.

TASTING NOTES:
The wine has a rich and decadent nose with notes of strawberry compote, fresh leather, and a touch of black pepper. The palate is equally expressive and shows lush fruit, but maintains a healthy amount of acid for a refreshing and long-lasting finish.
