Egly Ouriet is one of the most prominent Champagne houses located in Ambonnay of the Montagne de Reims sub region of Champagne. It is a récoltant-manipulant or a Grower Champagne estate, meaning, all the Champagne they produce come from grapes that are sourced and harvested from vineyards that they own instead of coming from contracted vineyards in the region, giving them a more distinct terroir approach to their wines.

Tasting Notes

Incredibly elevated aromas of toasted whole-grain bread, apple strudel, fresh oranges, freshly baked brioche, and hints of nougat emerge from the nose. A distinct savory note also subtly appears as a nuance of bacon and marrow. The palate is incredibly rich and creamy but precisely balanced with notes of lime zest and an elegant citric acidity. The finish lingers in the palate and possesses a vibrant grip and brilliant effervescence.
