Description

This precipitously steep and rocky vineyard, Wehlener Sonnenuhr (VAY-len-er ZON-en-ooer) yields some of the most elegant and sophisticated white wines in the world. It has very light soil and the purest blue slate of any Mosel vineyard. This gives the wine a lively minerality and a delicate, crisp acidity that perfectly balances the bright flavors of white peach and lemon. It’s an aristocratic and charming wine that dances gracefully on the palate.

Tasting Notes

Pale lemon colour. Pronounced nose of tropical mango fruit, ripe apricot, candied fruit with hint of honey and floral notes. Off-dry palate, high acidity, more tropical fruit of pineapple and mango as well as candied sweet lemon. Slightly effervescent on tongue. Long finish and fills the month.
