Domaine Dujac - Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres 1er Cru | French White Wine

The iconic Dujac domaine, which was taken over in 1967 by Jacques Seysses, now spans 11.5 hectares. Here it offers us a rare and magnificent Puligny-Montrachet from the Premier Cru Les Folatières. This wine is the result of meticulous work. Jacques Seysses refuses to “harm” his precious Chardonnay grapes by destemming them. That is why fermentation is carried out in whole bunches. Alongside this, the wine is matured in meticulously selected barrels and is bottled without prior fining or filtration which could damage the integrity of the wine.

Made to be aged for about fifteen years, the wine reveals a golden colour crisscrossed with glints of pale green. This exudes a delicate blend of aromas marked by notes of white fruits, white flowers, nuts such as fresh almond and hazelnut, butter and minerals. Deep, delicate and well-structured, this wine will go perfectly with gourmet dishes such as a fine fish dish, a Bresse chicken with morels or a truffle risotto.
