The Darkness Mannochmore 12-Year-Old Palo Cortado Cask Finish is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region, crafted by the Mannochmore Distillery. This expression has been aged for 12 years and boasts an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 55.6%.

This whisky undergoes a unique finishing process in custom-made Palo Cortado sherry octave casks. These smaller casks enhance the interaction between the spirit and the wood, resulting in a pronounced sherry influence that enriches the whisky's character.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Coastal aromas reminiscent of harborside settings and shellfish, complemented by hints of salted peanuts, candied nut brittle, and a subtle oily, briny minerality.

TASTE:
A rich, oily malt foundation with nuances of earthy black tea, vegetal notes, green peppercorn warmth, and a touch of fresh-cut grass.

FINISH:
Lingering earthy tones, oily oak, bark-like spices, hessian, and the subtle sweetness of Garibaldi biscuits.
