The Darkness Craigellachie 11-Year-Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish is a notable single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region, produced by the Craigellachie Distillery. This expression has been aged for 11 years and has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 49.6%.

This whisky undergoes a finishing process in custom-made Pedro Ximénez sherry octave casks. These smaller casks enhance the interaction between the spirit and the wood, imparting rich toffee and sweet caramel notes to the whisky's robust malt profile.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Aromas of dark mint chocolate complemented by creamy maple fudge and peppermint creams.

TASTE:
Flavors of treacle toffee, honeycomb toffee bars, maple and pecan pastries, with undertones of charred oak and toasted biscuits.

FINISH:
Lingering notes of sticky ginger cake, buttered malt loaf, caramelized sugar, and subtle earthy, herbaceous hints of dried mint.
