Clos Figueras - Font de la Figuera Priorat is a vibrant and approachable red wine from the prestigious Priorat region of Catalonia, Spain. Crafted by Clos Figueras, this wine represents a more accessible expression of the region's character while maintaining the complexity and depth for which Priorat wines are renowned. It blends indigenous and international grape varieties, showcasing the winery’s dedication to quality and terroir-driven winemaking.
Font de la Figuera is produced using grapes from the winery's younger vineyards, primarily a blend of Grenache (Garnacha), Carignan (Cariñena), and Syrah, with smaller contributions from Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre. The vines grow on the steep, slate-rich soils ("licorella") characteristic of Priorat, which impart minerality and structure to the wine. After fermentation, it is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, balancing fruit purity with subtle oak influence.
