Chivas Regal Mizunara is the world’s first Scotch whisky to be selectively finished in Japanese Mizunara oak Casks.
Mizunara oak – crafted from trees indigenous to Japan – is extremely rare and renowned for its distinctive porous nature, which requires expert maturation and blending capabilities.
The difficulty is worth it, as it imparts the whisky with a very unique flavour. Mizunara casks are celebrated for imparting a subtle yet distinctive spicy finish, with Chivas Regal Mizunara showcasing this unique influence on the smooth, generous flavour profile of the Chivas House style.
Classic Serve : Mizunara Camomball
Ingredients :
- 50ml Chivas Mizunara
- 80ml sweetened camomile tea
- 70ml soda water
- Lemon zest, to garnish
How to Serve :
- Boil 200ml of water and brew 2g of loose-leaf camomile tea for 5 minutes. Add 25g of caster sugar and stir until dissolved. Let cool.
- Add Chivas Mizunara and camomile tea into a highball glass.
- Fill the glass to the top with ice.
- Add soda and give a small stir to blend ingredients.
- Add another cube of ice (if needed) to make sure the ice is tight and compact.
- Garnish with lemon zest.
- Serve.
