Description

The wine of Chateau Pibran is produced by the same technical team that makes Chateau Pichon Baron. In fact, the wine of Chateau Pibran is vinified at Chateau Pichon Baron and then moved in barrel, for the aging which takes place in the cellars of Chateau Pibran.

There is a second wine, La Tour Pibran, which took its name from a part of the original vineyard they later purchased to enlarge the estate. Close to 6,500 cases of Chateau Pibran are produced on average in each vintage.

Tasting Notes

Château Pibran has a beautiful deep purple colour. Its open bouquet is composed of scents of very ripe red fruit, caramel and then hints of menthol. On the palate the wine is fruity, well-balanced and powerful in the attack. It has a long, fresh finish ending with peppery notes.

Food Pairing

meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised, and grilled dishes. Chateau Pibran is also good with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, and pasta.
