Description

The winegrowing estate of Chateau les Valentines is more than a century old. The estate originally brought their grapes to the local cooperative, but when Gilles and Pascale Pons took over in 1997, they decided to make their own wine. They built a modern winery and called the domaine "Les Valentines" after their children, Valentin and Clémentine. Château les Valentines now covers approximately 100 acres. The white is a blend of old vine Ugni Blanc, Rolle and Clairette.

Tasting Notes

This is a very interesting white, blend of Rolle and some 80-years old vines of Ugni Blanc! A surprising aromatic complexity with flavours of citrus, pear and white flowers, a buttery touch and a refreshing acidity. Pretty high-level for a white Côtes de Provence, it is a great discovery for Your Sommelier.
