Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases was created in 2007. The Second Wine of Château Léoville Las Cases, Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases is made from plots of vines in the Clos Léoville Las Cases. Following in the footsteps of its two predecessors, Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases is vinified and aged with the same care as the other wines from the estate.
Château Léoville Las Cases is one of the most emblematic estates in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region, with vintage after vintage reaching new heights of excellence and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Young Cabernet Sauvignon vines are blended with older Merlot in this second wine of Léoville las Cases. That gives a wine which is warm, ripe and structured. It does have concentration while also having great freshness and a crisp afterTaste.
