Description

Chantereves is a husband and wife team winemaking team that is making plenty of noise in Burgundy.

Tomoko Kuriyama and Guillaume Bott met in the cellar of Domaine Simon Bize et Fils, where Guillaume remains as the cellarmaster. Their collaboration started in 2010, when their first rave reviews from Jancis Robinson MW caused a stampede for their fledgling brand.

Tasting Notes

A fleshy, silky, almost slurpy red Burgundy, made with minimal intervention by Tomoko and Guillaume, the lovely people at Chantereves. Vibrant and crunchy, with red cherry and blood plum flavours - such life and freshness, even in a warmish year. There's a lacy, delicate element to the finish - a tightening up of all the loosey juiciness, so to speak. A modern take on Nuits-Saint-Georges, and utterly delicious.
