Say hello to another wonderful vintage of Benromach's Cask Strength expression! This Speysider was distilled in 2009, and filled into a combination of first fill sherry and bourbon casks. After a decade, in 2019 the whisky was bottled up at a generous 58.8% ABV, with a suggestion of smoke among the waxy, fruity notes.
| TASTING NOTES | NOSE: Lots of sherry influence alongside creamy vanilla, cooked apple and a hint of candle wax. TASTE: Set honey, waxy peels and stewed orchard fruit, with a delicate suggestion of peat smoke throughout. FINISH: Chocolate-coated raisin lingers alongside a smouldering bonfire. |
