Distilled in 1970, it matured for 38 years before being bottled in July 2009 at a cask strength of 49.1% ABV. This expression underwent a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks, imparting rich and complex flavors.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: A harmonious blend of dried fruits such as raisins and dates, complemented by lush blackcurrants and blueberries. Hints of exotic fruits like tangerines and pineapple add freshness, alongside subtle notes of pine resin, mint, cocoa, and espresso.
TASTE: Rich flavors of roasted coffee beans and milk chocolate dominate, with undertones of dried figs and tobacco. Despite being unpeated, it exhibits a subtle smokiness. The sherry influence presents as wine-like, reminiscent of Tempranillo, rather than the typical nutty or syrupy profile. A touch of toffee and redcurrant marmalade enhances the complexity.
FINISH: Long and satisfying, featuring dark chocolate intertwined with spices and tea notes, leaving a lasting impression.
