Description

A recent Benriach 16yo that has dispensed with the Latin naming system, this has been finished in Sauternes. The standard issue 16yo is a terrific dram, so this should be very interesting.

Just 1,650 bottles were produced of this Benriach 16 year old, finished in First Growth Bordeaux previously used to mature Sauternes from Chateau D'Yquem.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Nutty, gristy notes; almonds, hazelnuts and hints of cereal and flour. Sherried.
TASTE: Thick and chewy, with a supple depth. Refined sweetness, intense vanilla and oaky spices.
FINISH: Oaked spices, peppery smoke.
