A sensual and savory Pinot Noir from Domaine Benjamin Leroux, it has a medium to full body, and notes of wild berries, with a long finish.

Tasting Notes

The Benjamin Leroux Volnay Clos de la Cave des Ducs is made Pinot Noir grapes from old vines, macerated for 15 days in tank, and aged half in tanks and half in barrels for 12 months. Scoring a 92 on The Wine Advocate, it has an ABV of 13%. A sensual red wine, it has a purple-red color, with aromas of wild berries, dark chocolate, plum, and potpourri. On the palate, you get a nice, rich body, with powdery tannins, flavors of fruit, and notes of oak and spice.

Food Pairing

The Volnay Clos de la Cave des Ducs by Benjamin Leroux is wonderful to enjoy with a good steak, or leg of lamb. Try it also with duck or chicken, and hearty meat-based stews and curries.
