The Ben Nevis 1984 Single Sherry Cask 31 Year Old #98-35-2 is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky, crafted to commemorate the 60th anniversary of La Maison du Whisky (LMDW). Distilled on December 20, 1984, this expression underwent a unique maturation process, initially spending 13 years in first-fill bourbon casks before being re-racked into fresh sherry puncheons on October 14, 1998, for an additional 18 years. Bottled in 2016 at a cask strength of 56.4% ABV, it was a limited release of 600 bottles.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
A rich bouquet of dried fruits, notably raisins and figs, complemented by floral undertones and hints of oak.
TASTE:
A full-bodied experience with layers of dark chocolate, sherry-infused fruits, and subtle spice, balanced by a creamy texture.
FINISH:
Long and warming, with lingering notes of sweet sherry and gentle oak.
