Description

As the world began its ten-year saunter towards the new Millennium, Balblair distilled this expression of their excellent single malt in 1990 and set it aside to mature in ex-bourbon casks. 21 years later, they moved the whisky over to Oloroso sherry butts for the last two years of maturation before they bottled the single malt for this delicious release.
Balblair Vintage 1990 2nd release is truly exceptional. This luxurious expression is the perfect after-dinner treat.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Spicy yet sweet and is punctuated with notes of raisins, toffee and honey. Hints of vanilla, chocolate and citrus fruits are also present.
TASTE:
On the palate it is full bodied; sweet and spicy in character with hints of honey, raisins and zesty fruits.
FINISH:
The Finish is smooth and long-lasting.
