Description

The wine went through spontaneous malolactic in barrel and matured in oak foudres and bocoyes for 16 months. It feels like the essence of cherry, a Garnacha cotton candy, elegant, ethereal and tasty, more in the style of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape in this dry and warm vintage.

Tasting Notes

Pale Crimson. The purity of fresh, red berry fruit coming off the nose continues to astound with each vintage of Valmira. On the palate, the wine is lifted and poised with a sweet herbal note and immaculate raspberry fruit. This elegant framework however belies its power; there is notable intensity on the otherwise graceful and harmonious finish.
