Full of fresh apples and tropical fruits, floral perfumes balanced against drying oak wood. The Jurançon wine cask finish has been very complimentary to this Calvados, bestowing rich tropical fruit flavours and other orchard fruits, sweet and peachy.
| TASTING NOTES | COLOR: Dark gold, green NOSE: Fresh red apples and apple juice, very aromatic with wafts of ketones and esters, hints of peach, floral and sweet, vanilla flowers, honeysuckle and daffodil, slightly musty and cloying at the same time, pineapples in syrup and syrupy dessert wine (sweet Jurancon), pear drop sweeties. TASTE: Fresh and sweet, red apple juice, a little ascerbic or fruity acidity, sherbet, woody tannins, quite dry, peach skin, tropical pineapple and mango fruits seasoned with a hint of spiced white pepper and dry oak wood. FINISH: Medium-long, sweet, juicy, becomes slightly drying and sour. |
